Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager, Balfour Beatty
The project lead Health, Safety & Wellbeing senior manager for the project manging all aspects of health, safety and wellbeing across multiple sites and complex operational environments. Responsible for maintaining the highest safety standards, supporting our operational teams and embedding the Zero Harm vision and values across our working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance to operational leaders and project teams
- Champion wellbeing initiatives and psychological safety across the organisation
- Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and client requirements

Group Head of HSQE, BUUK Infrastructure
A senior strategic role responsible for shaping HSQE direction across a national utilities and infrastructure organisation. Led teams, systems, and programmes to improve safety culture, operational performance, and regulatory compliance.

- Set HSQE strategy and governance across multiple business divisions
- Lead HSQE teams, ensuring consistent standards and high-quality outputs
- Oversee audits, assurance, and risk management frameworks
- Drive continuous improvement through data, insights, and leadership coaching
- Act as the senior point of contact for regulators, clients, and internal stakeholders

- Led the organisation‑wide behavioural change programme with the CEO and all Business Unit Managing Directors – Work Safe | Home Safe.
- This involved coordinating cross‑functional teams across different business units to ensure consistent adoption of new behaviours across the group.
- Modernised HSQE systems and reporting to enhance visibility and decision-making
Head of SHEQ, TES 2000
Led SHEQ strategy and operations within a high‑risk rail environment, ensuring safe delivery of works, strong compliance, and effective risk management. Built and developed SHEQ capability across the organisation.
